Do you read any non-blogging book reviews? If so, where (newspaper, library etc)? Do you have any favourites sources you’d like to share?
These days, the majority of the reviews I read come from blogs. When I get the chance I do read the independent Good Reading Magazine. They write on all things book-related and their reviews are very accessible to everybody and to all ages. Being independent, the magazine is quite expensive so I read them in the library whenever I get the chance. The magazine has introduced me to many new books and authors. I would subscribe and support them if I had the means.
The second main source comes from The Age newspaper Saturday’s liftout called A2 that has a rich source of book news, reviews, issues and interviews. Many reviews are in depth and, at times, are more in the style of essays and debates rather than reviews.
